LOCAL INFERENCE & PRIVACY
Offline Oracle processes your documents using AI that
runs locally on your Mac. Files, extracted text,
searches, conversations, and document summaries remain
on your computer instead of being sent to a cloud AI
service. Internet access is only needed for Apple
purchases, updates, and the approved one-time AI model
download.
SUPPORTED FILE FORMATS
Work with PDFs, Word and Excel files, CSV data, text
documents, Markdown, scanned pages, and common image
formats. Offline Oracle can use optical character
recognition to extract searchable text from supported
scans and images, although results may vary depending
on image quality and document layout.
MAC NATIVE PERFORMANCE
Offline Oracle is designed for Apple Silicon Macs and
includes its own local AI server and search model. It
uses Mac hardware acceleration and Apple Vision OCR to
process documents efficiently without requiring a
separate Ollama installation. After the initial AI
model setup, document search and conversations run
directly on your Mac.
